Scholarships Available!

Yes your child can attend private school for free or at a reduced cost! If your child is going into Kinder or elementary, you may be eligible for an Arizona Private School Scholarship. We work with two private Arizona school scholarship programs, School Choice Arizona and Arizona Tuition Connection but you are welcome to apply to any that you like.

Donations are part of the Arizona Tax Credit

Married taxpayers that file a joint return may contribute up to $2,213 in the 2018 tax year. Single taxpayers or heads of household may contribute up to $1,107.

Your contribution can be taken as a tax credit/reduction against your Arizona state tax liability.

Contributions can be accepted through April 15th, 2019 for credit in the 2018 tax year.

Your friends and family are able to donate in the name of your child. Reducing your cost and they receive their contribution back as a tax credit.

Types of scholarships available:

Original Individual Income Tax Credit:

No restriction on eligibility!

Switcher Individual Income Tax Credit:
Student must meet ONE of the following prerequisites:
Student attended an Arizona public school as a full-time student for at least 90 days of the prior fiscal year and then transferred from the public school to a private school; OR

Is enrolling or currently enrolled in a private school kindergarten; OR

Is enrolling or currently enrolled in a private preschool program for students with disabilities; OR

Is a dependent of a member of the armed forces of the United States who is stationed in Arizona pursuant to military orders; OR

Received a switcher individual scholarship under one of the above criteria in a prior year and the child continued to attend a private school in subsequent years; OR

Received a low-income corporate scholarship or a disabled/displaced corporate scholarship in a prior year and the child continued to attend a private school in subsequent years.

Low-Income Corporate Income Tax Credit:
Household incomes are at or below 185 percent of the federal free and reduced-price lunch program guidelines ($84,194 for a family of four in 2017–19).

Student’s family income cannot exceed 185% of the income required to qualify a child for reduced price lunches AND student must meet one of the following:
Student attended an Arizona public school as a full-time student for at least 90 days of the prior fiscal year or one full semester and then transferred from the public school to a private school; OR

Is enrolling or currently enrolled in a private school kindergarten; OR

Is enrolling or currently enrolled in a private preschool program for students with disabilities; OR

Is a dependent of a member of the armed forces of the United States who is stationed in Arizona pursuant to military orders; OR

Received a low-income corporate scholarship under one of the above criteria in a prior year and the child continued to attend a private school in subsequent years; OR

Received an original individual scholarship or a switcher individual scholarship in a prior year and the child continued to attend a private school in subsequent years.

Disabled/Displaced Corporate Income Tax Credit:
Student must have an IEP, MET or a 504 plan from an Arizona public school OR have been placed at one point in the Arizona foster care system.
